Before You Buy Checklist

You were thinking of buying our scripts ? Have you checked your Web space first?

Warning >> If you have free or very cheap web space you may NOT be able to use our scripts. You might be better off using our Instant Free Calendars, and upgrading them.

Please read below....

• Your server should be UNIX based (this is the commonest type) like Linux . Folks have successfully installed our scripts on Microsoft Servers but you must be familiar with doing this on your server yourself. Please check your server has "SendMail" or another method of sending emails through Perls scripts.

• You must have Perl 5.XXX installed on your server and you must have the option to run your own CGI scripts on your webspace. Bottom of the range web space which is free or very cheap is unlikely to give you this option. You often have to "upgrade" to a business package to get these options.

• Have you ever installed Perl scripts onto a web site before? Our help files are very comprehensive and easy to follow but the process can seem baffling at first. To save you time and frustratrion we always recommend installing the scripts for you. It usually takes us only a few minutes and we have seen most problems before and know how to fix them.

• You will need some sort of FTP program to upload the files onto your server, and change file permissions (this is important). We use CuteFTP.
  Frontpage, or Dreamweaver alone will NOT DO ('cos you can't change file permissions).

• If you want to use the scripts that use SQL databases you will need to have the use of a MYSQL database as part of your webspace package. Please check before buying
